كَأَنَّهُمْ حُمُرٌ مُّسْتَنفِرَةٌ |
50 As if they were startled donkeys |
|
|
فَرَّتْ مِن قَسْوَرَةٍۭ |
51 Fleeing from a lion? |
|
|
بَلْ يُرِيدُ كُلُّ ٱمْرِئٍ مِّنْهُمْ أَن يُؤْتَىٰ صُحُفًا مُّنَشَّرَةً |
52 The truth is,1 every man of them desires that he be given scriptures unfolded.2 |
|
|
كَلَّا بَل لَّا يَخَافُونَ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ |
53 No, indeed!1 The truth is,2 they3 fear not the Hereafter. |
|
|
كَلَّآ إِنَّهُۥ تَذْكِرَةٌ |
54 No, indeed!1 It is a reminder, |
|
|
فَمَن شَآءَ ذَكَرَهُۥ |
55 So whoso wills will remember it. |
|
|
وَمَا يَذْكُرُونَ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّـهُ هُوَ أَهْلُ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ وَأَهْلُ ٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ |
56 And they will not remember save that God wills; He is worthy of prudent fear1 and worthy to forgive. |
