|
أَمْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ إِنَـٰثًا وَهُمْ شَـٰهِدُونَ |
150 If1 We created the angels females, while they were witnesses:2 |
|
|
أَلَآ إِنَّهُم مِّنْ إِفْكِهِمْ لَيَقُولُونَ |
151 (In truth,1 it is of their falsehood that they say: |
|
|
وَلَدَ ٱللَّـهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَـٰذِبُونَ |
152 “God has begotten,” and they are liars.) |
|
|
أَصْطَفَى ٱلْبَنَاتِ عَلَى ٱلْبَنِينَ |
153 Chose He daughters over sons? |
|
|
مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ |
154 What ails you? How judge you?1 |
|
|
أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ |
155 Will you then not1 take heed! |
|
|
أَمْ لَكُمْ سُلْطَـٰنٌ مُّبِينٌ |
||
|
فَأْتُوا۟ بِكِتَـٰبِكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ |
||
|
وَجَعَلُوا۟ بَيْنَهُۥ وَبَيْنَ ٱلْجِنَّةِ نَسَبًا وَلَقَدْ عَلِمَتِ ٱلْجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ |
158 And they have made between Him and the jinna1a kinship — when the jinna2 know they will be summoned — |
|
|
سُبْحَـٰنَ ٱللَّـهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ |
159 (Glory1 be to God above what they describe!) |
|
|
إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّـهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ |
160 Save the sincere servants of God. |
|
|
فَإِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ |
161 And you, and what you serve, |
|
|
مَآ أَنتُمْ عَلَيْهِ بِفَـٰتِنِينَ |
162 You will not tempt against Him |
|
|
إِلَّا مَنْ هُوَ صَالِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ |
163 Save him who is to burn in Hell. |
|
|
وَمَا مِنَّآ إِلَّا لَهُۥ مَقَامٌ مَّعْلُومٌ |
164 “And there is none among us1 save has an appointed station;2 |
|
|
وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلصَّآفُّونَ |
165 “And we are those lined up;1 |
|
|
وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلْمُسَبِّحُونَ |
166 “And we are the givers of glory.”1 |
|
|
وَإِن كَانُوا۟ لَيَقُولُونَ |
167 And they say:1 |
|
|
لَوْ أَنَّ عِندَنَا ذِكْرًا مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ |
168 “Were we to have had a remembrance1 from the former peoples |
|
|
لَكُنَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّـهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ |
169 “We would have been the sincere servants of God!” |
|
|
فَكَفَرُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ |
170 But they denied it;1 and they will come to know! |
|
|
وَلَقَدْ سَبَقَتْ كَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ |
171 And Our word has gone forth to Our servants, the emissaries: |
|
|
إِنَّهُمْ لَهُمُ ٱلْمَنصُورُونَ |
172 They — they — will be those helped.1 |
|
|
وَإِنَّ جُندَنَا لَهُمُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبُونَ |
173 And Our host1 — they will be the victors. |
|
|
فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ |
174 So turn thou from them for a time. |
|
|
وَأَبْصِرْهُمْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ |
175 And see thou them; for they will come to see! |
|
|
أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ |
176 Then is it Our punishment they wish to hasten? |
|
|
فَإِذَا نَزَلَ بِسَاحَتِهِمْ فَسَآءَ صَبَاحُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ |
177 And when it descends in their courtyard, then evil is the morning of those who were warned! |
|
|
وَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ |
178 And turn thou from them for a time. |
|
|
وَأَبْصِرْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ |
179 And see thou; for they will come to see! |
|
|
سُبْحَـٰنَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ ٱلْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ |
180 Glory1 be to thy Lord, the Lord of Power and Glory,2 above what they describe! |
|
|
وَسَلَـٰمٌ عَلَى ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ |
181 And peace be upon the emissaries! |
|
|
وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّـهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ |
182 And praise belongs to God, the Lord of All Creation! |
