|
رَبِّ هَبْ لِى مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ |
100 “My Lord: give Thou me from among the righteous.”1 |
|
|
فَبَشَّرْنَـٰهُ بِغُلَـٰمٍ حَلِيمٍ |
101 So We gave him glad tidings of a clement lad; |
|
|
فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ ٱلسَّعْىَ قَالَ يَـٰبُنَىَّ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰ فِى ٱلْمَنَامِ أَنِّىٓ أَذْبَحُكَ فَٱنظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَىٰ قَالَ يَـٰٓأَبَتِ ٱفْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ سَتَجِدُنِىٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّـهُ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ |
102 And when he reached the age of working1 with him, he said: “O my son: I saw in a dream, that I was sacrificing thee. So look thou — what seest2 thou?” He said: “O my father: do thou what thou art commanded; thou wilt find me, if God wills, of the patient.”3 |
|
|
فَلَمَّآ أَسْلَمَا وَتَلَّهُۥ لِلْجَبِينِ |
103 And when they1 had submitted, and he had thrown him down upon his2 brow, |
|
|
وَنَـٰدَيْنَـٰهُ أَن يَـٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ |
104 We called to him: “O Abraham: |
|
|
قَدْ صَدَّقْتَ ٱلرُّءْيَآ إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ |
105 “Thou hast confirmed the vision!” Thus reward We the doers of good; |
|
|
إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْبَلَـٰٓؤُا۟ ٱلْمُبِينُ |
106 This was the clear trial. |
|
|
وَفَدَيْنَـٰهُ بِذِبْحٍ عَظِيمٍ |
107 And We ransomed him with a great1 sacrifice, |
|
|
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ |
108 And We left for him among those who came later: |
|
|
سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ |
109 “Peace be upon Abraham!” |
|
|
كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ |
110 Thus reward We the doers of good; |
|
|
إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
111 He was among Our believing servants.1 |
|
|
وَبَشَّرْنَـٰهُ بِإِسْحَـٰقَ نَبِيًّا مِّنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ |
112 And We gave him glad tidings of Isaac, a prophet among the righteous. |
|
|
وَبَـٰرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰٓ إِسْحَـٰقَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحْسِنٌ وَظَالِمٌ لِّنَفْسِهِۦ مُبِينٌ |
113 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and among their progeny is the doer of good and the manifest doer of wrong to himself. |
|
|
وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَـٰرُونَ |
114 And We bestowed favour upon Moses and Aaron, |
|
|
وَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُمَا وَقَوْمَهُمَا مِنَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ |
115 And delivered them1 and their2 people from the great distress, |
|
|
وَنَصَرْنَـٰهُمْ فَكَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبِينَ |
116 And We helped them, so they were the victors. |
|
|
وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمَا ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ ٱلْمُسْتَبِينَ |
||
|
وَهَدَيْنَـٰهُمَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ |
118 And We guided them1 to the straight path. |
|
|
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِمَا فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ |
119 And We left for them1 among those who came later: |
|
|
سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَـٰرُونَ |
120 “Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!” |
|
|
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ |
121 Thus reward We the doers of good; |
|
|
إِنَّهُمَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
||
|
وَإِنَّ إِلْيَاسَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ |
123 And Elijah1 was among the emissaries, |
|
|
إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ |
124 When he said to his people: “Will you not be in prudent fear?1 |
|
|
أَتَدْعُونَ بَعْلًا وَتَذَرُونَ أَحْسَنَ ٱلْخَـٰلِقِينَ |
125 “Will you call to Baal1 and leave the best of creators: |
|
|
ٱللَّـهَ رَبَّكُمْ وَرَبَّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ |
126 “God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers of old?” |
|
|
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ |
127 But they denied him;1 then are they those summoned, |
|
|
إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّـهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ |
128 Save the sincere servants of God. |
|
|
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ |
129 And We left for him among those who came later: |
|
|
سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِلْ يَاسِينَ |
130 “Peace be upon Ilyāsīn!”1 |
|
|
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ |
131 Thus reward We the doers of good; |
|
|
إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
132 He was among Our believing servants.1 |
|
|
وَإِنَّ لُوطًا لَّمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ |
133 And Lot was among the emissaries, |
|
|
إِذْ نَجَّيْنَـٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ |
134 When We delivered him and his household all together, |
|
|
إِلَّا عَجُوزًا فِى ٱلْغَـٰبِرِينَ |
135 Save an old woman1 among those who stayed behind; |
|
|
ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا ٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ |
136 Then destroyed We the others. |
|
|
وَإِنَّكُمْ لَتَمُرُّونَ عَلَيْهِم مُّصْبِحِينَ |
137 And you pass by them1 in the morning |
|
|
وَبِٱلَّيْلِ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ |
138 And at night. Will you then not1 use reason! |
|
|
وَإِنَّ يُونُسَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ |
139 And Jonah1 was among the emissaries, |
|
|
إِذْ أَبَقَ إِلَى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ |
140 When he fled to the laden ship, |
|
|
فَسَاهَمَ فَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُدْحَضِينَ |
141 Then he cast lots, and was among those refuted.1 |
|
|
فَٱلْتَقَمَهُ ٱلْحُوتُ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ |
142 Then the fish swallowed him, when he was blameworthy. |
|
|
فَلَوْلَآ أَنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَبِّحِينَ |
143 And were he not among the givers of glory,1 |
|
|
لَلَبِثَ فِى بَطْنِهِۦٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ |
144 He would have tarried in its belly until the day they are raised. |
|
|
فَنَبَذْنَـٰهُ بِٱلْعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ سَقِيمٌ |
145 But We cast him on the bare shore when he was sick, |
|
|
وَأَنۢبَتْنَا عَلَيْهِ شَجَرَةً مِّن يَقْطِينٍ |
146 And We caused to grow over him a tree of gourd; |
|
|
وَأَرْسَلْنَـٰهُ إِلَىٰ مِا۟ئَةِ أَلْفٍ أَوْ يَزِيدُونَ |
147 And We sent him to a hundred thousand or more; |
|
|
فَـَٔامَنُوا۟ فَمَتَّعْنَـٰهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍ |
148 And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment for a time. |
|
|
فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَلِرَبِّكَ ٱلْبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ ٱلْبَنُونَ |
149 And ask thou them: has thy Lord daughters and they sons? |
|
