بِسْمِ ٱللَّـهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ |
In the name of God, the Almighty,1 the Merciful. |
|
|
ٱلْقَارِعَةُ |
1012 1 The Calamity!1 |
|
|
مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ |
2 What is the Calamity?1 |
|
|
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ |
3 And what will convey to thee what the Calamity is?1 |
|
|
يَوْمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلْفَرَاشِ ٱلْمَبْثُوثِ |
4 The day men will be as moths dispersed, |
|
|
وَتَكُونُ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَٱلْعِهْنِ ٱلْمَنفُوشِ |
5 And the mountains as wool fluffed up. |
|
|
فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ |
6 Then as for him whose balances are heavy: |
|
|
فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍ |
7 He is in a pleasing life. |
|
|
وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ |
8 And as for him whose balances are light: |
|
|
فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٌ |
9 His embrace1 is an abyss. |
|
|
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهْ |
10 And what will convey to thee what it is? |
|
|
نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌۢ |
11 A scorching Fire. |
