|
بِسْمِ ٱللَّـهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ |
In the name of God, the Almighty,1 the Merciful. |
|
|
ٱقْرَأْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ |
962 1 Recite thou in the name of thy Lord who created,1 |
|
|
خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِنْ عَلَقٍ |
2 Created man from a clinging thing.1 |
|
|
ٱقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ ٱلْأَكْرَمُ |
3 Recite thou, and thy Lord is the Most Noble,1 |
|
|
ٱلَّذِى عَلَّمَ بِٱلْقَلَمِ |
4 Who taught by the pen, |
|
|
عَلَّمَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ |
5 Taught man what he knew not. |
|
|
كَلَّآ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لَيَطْغَىٰٓ |
6 No, indeed!1 Man transgresses, |
|
|
أَن رَّءَاهُ ٱسْتَغْنَىٰٓ |
7 That he considers himself self-sufficient. |
|
|
إِنَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ ٱلرُّجْعَىٰٓ |
8 To thy Lord is the return. |
|
|
أَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى يَنْهَىٰ |
9 Hast thou seen1 him who forbids |
|
|
عَبْدًا إِذَا صَلَّىٰٓ |
10 A servant when he performs the duty?1 |
|
|
أَرَءَيْتَ إِن كَانَ عَلَى ٱلْهُدَىٰٓ |
11 Hast thou considered1 if he is upon guidance, |
|
|
أَوْ أَمَرَ بِٱلتَّقْوَىٰٓ |
12 Or enjoins prudent fear?1 |
|
|
أَرَءَيْتَ إِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰٓ |
||
|
أَلَمْ يَعْلَم بِأَنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يَرَىٰ |
14 Knows he not that God sees? |
|
|
كَلَّا لَئِن لَّمْ يَنتَهِ لَنَسْفَعًۢا بِٱلنَّاصِيَةِ |
15 No, indeed!1 If he cease not, We will drag him by the forelock, |
|
|
نَاصِيَةٍ كَـٰذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةٍ |
16 The lying, offending1 forelock. |
|
|
فَلْيَدْعُ نَادِيَهُۥ |
17 Then let him call his council. |
|
|
سَنَدْعُ ٱلزَّبَانِيَةَ |
18 We will call the guards of Hell.1 |
|
|
كَلَّا لَا تُطِعْهُ وَٱسْجُدْ وَٱقْتَرِب |
19 No, indeed!1 Obey thou not him, but submit2 thou, and draw thou near. |
