|
بِسْمِ ٱللَّـهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ |
In the name of God, the Almighty,1 the Merciful. |
|
|
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْبُرُوجِ |
852 1 By the sky full of constellations!1 |
|
|
وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْمَوْعُودِ |
2 And by the Promised Day! |
|
|
وَشَاهِدٍ وَمَشْهُودٍ |
3 And by the witness and the witnessed! |
|
|
قُتِلَ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْأُخْدُودِ |
||
|
ٱلنَّارِ ذَاتِ ٱلْوَقُودِ |
5 Of the fuel-filled fire, |
|
|
إِذْ هُمْ عَلَيْهَا قُعُودٌ |
6 When they sit over it |
|
|
وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفْعَلُونَ بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ شُهُودٌ |
7 And are, of what they do with the believers,1 witnesses. |
|
|
وَمَا نَقَمُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّـهِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَمِيدِ |
8 And they resent them only that they believe in1 God, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, |
|
|
ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱللَّـهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ شَهِيدٌ |
9 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth; and God is witness over all things. |
|
|
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ فَتَنُوا۟ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُوبُوا۟ فَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ ٱلْحَرِيقِ |
10 Those who subject the believing men1 and the believing women2 to means of denial,3 then repent not: they have the punishment of Gehenna — and they have the punishment of the consuming fire. |

|
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّـٰتٌ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْكَبِيرُ |
11 Those who heed warning1 and do righteous deeds: they have gardens beneath which rivers flow; that is the Great Achievement. |
|
|
إِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ |
12 The might of thy Lord is strong. |
|
|
إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ يُبْدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ |
13 He is it who originates and repeats. |
|
|
وَهُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلْوَدُودُ |
14 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, |
|
|
ذُو ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْمَجِيدُ |
15 Owner of the Throne, the Glorious, |
|
|
فَعَّالٌ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ |
16 Doer of what He intends. |
|
|
هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلْجُنُودِ |
17 Has there come to thee the account1 of the forces |
|
|
فِرْعَوْنَ وَثَمُودَ |
18 Of Pharaoh,1 and of Thamūd? |
|
|
بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِى تَكْذِيبٍ |
||
|
وَٱللَّـهُ مِن وَرَآئِهِم مُّحِيطٌۢ |
20 But God is behind them,1 encompassing. |
|
|
بَلْ هُوَ قُرْءَانٌ مَّجِيدٌ |
||
|
فِى لَوْحٍ مَّحْفُوظٍۭ |
22 In a protected tablet. |
