|
بِسْمِ ٱللَّـهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ |
In the name of God, the Almighty,1 the Merciful. |
|
|
وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍ |
1042 1 Woe to every slanderer, fault-finder, |
|
|
ٱلَّذِى جَمَعَ مَالًا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ |
2 Who accumulated wealth and counted it |
|
|
يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخْلَدَهُۥ |
3 Thinking that his wealth made him immortal! |
|
|
كَلَّا لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِى ٱلْحُطَمَةِ |
||
|
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْحُطَمَةُ |
5 And what will convey to thee what the Crusher is? |
|
|
نَارُ ٱللَّـهِ ٱلْمُوقَدَةُ |
6 The Fire of God fuelled |
|
|
ٱلَّتِى تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةِ |
7 Which will look down upon1 the hearts. |
|
|
إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِم مُّؤْصَدَةٌ |
8 It1 will be upon them closed in |
|
|
فِى عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍۭ |
9 In extended pillars. |
